As mentioned elsewhere, Beerhah is not a group and the administrators are not its leaders. This forum is merely a collaborative effort to centralize the survivor effort in an attempt to achieve more cohesion and unity amongst us breathers.

Nobody here is the boss of you…as you will see in the “Allied Affairs” section.

Now as this forum is new to everyone (including we Admins), the following is a little primer on some of the basic mechanics issues that have come up. As we slog our way through Beerhah.com’s infancy, many new and confounding questions are sure to arise, and we’ll update it as frequently as possible.

1. Any and all survivor groups that wish to have their own separate forum here on beerhah.com are welcome to one (see the “Followers of Beerhah” section of the forum). We can also make you a private, ‘members only’ area if you so desire (more on that later). The group leader will be granted admin privileges over their group’s forum, so they can manage it however they like.

This can either be done by asking as much in the “Join the Movement” thread as directed there, or leaders can PM either myself or Rockyroad.

2. Unfortunately, there is no way for us to require admin approval for registrations. Anybody with an email can register for an account here. For that reason, threads pertaining to current operations and group decisions on missions / objectives are kept secure by restricting access to invitations only (it’s the only way we can do it). Member groups’ private forums are also to be set similarly, so their leader or admin can control who has access to what on their own forum.

There is a sign up thread for the Current Ops stuff in the “Allied Affairs” section under “General Allied Discussion”. If you do not already have access, please sign up there and we’ll get you in as soon as we can verify that you’re not an ZOMG ZAMBAH SPAI!!!

3. Basically the group forums, I reckon, would be for sharing any intel on the whatever area a group typically works or “lives” in. Or perhaps y’all just wanna chat there. Naturally, it’s up to you. Eventually, I guess I hope that Beerhah will help eliminate having to read 147 forums per day…but that may not be entirely realistic.

Discussions about what this unified survivor front is workin on at the moment, or what we think we should do next, will take place in the “Current Ops” section (again, securely by invite only)…as well as SitReps, Mission status reports, Revive Requests and Miscellaneous Battle Banter.

For Group Leaders:

So you’ve signed up and got your very own forum here at Beerhah.com and have been given your Admin privileges there. But how do you use them? Well, I’ve taken a few screenshots of how we Beavers have set ours up to use as an example.

This is the main page of our forum:

As you can see, we have a public area for revive requests (in Santlerville, our home) and some private sections for Beaver members / leaders only. Access to the private areas can be granted by the Admin for your group (usually a leader, but that’s up to you).

If your admin powers do not allow the creation of forums or topics like this, PM either myself and Rockyroad and we’ll hook you up according to your specifications.

Here is a shot of our Beavers Only area, just as an example.

To invite users to your private forums, follow the arrow on the screen below:

Then this one:

From there, you can enter whomsoever you choose and they will have access to your private forums. Where asked to choose an “Access Mask”, just choose “Member Mask”.

*****

That’s all I can think of for now. But as this is a work in progress, more will surely come up. If you have any questions or requests, either post below or feel free to PM either myself or Rockyroad.
