Evils Presley here, lovers.

First off, this forum and its purpose are both obviously inspired by the work of the many fine hordes over at barhah.com…right down to the very name. Thus, before we begin I would like to thank our many shambling friends for their role, however inadvertent, in the creation of what we hope will become the premier bastion of survivor unity.

“What the hell is Beerhah,” you ask? Have a seat and grab a Peeber, my friend. I’ll tell you.

As the zombie hordes continue to grow in both size and coordination; as red suburbs continue to proliferate with alarming speed, it has become clear to many of the survivor groups throughout Malton that something has to change about how survivors are playing the game.

Beerhah is that change.

Survivor failures are not due to game updates. It is not an AP disadvantage. As this apocalypse plays out, we all take turns getting nerfed in some way. No…when survivors lose, it is because the zombie hordes have us beat in terms of unity and coordination. They have for quite some time and we have yet to ?rise to the occasion.

What’s holding us back?

Pride and “burbism”, mostly. The biggest advantage that the zeds have over survivors is they have no homes to protect. We do, and perhaps hold on to them a little too tightly. When we assist each other as groups, we do so only insofar as we don’t risk weakening the defense of our home suburb…even burbs that are rarely in danger. We limit our efforts and cripple our efficacy for the sake of one little square amongst many. Meanwhile, our foes congregate en masse…and lay waste to those little squares anyway.

If we are going to succeed, all survivors need to operate as one. We, too, need to become a horde, a congregation of survivor groups and unaffiliated individuals working together for the greater good of all of Malton and its residents. Such is the purpose of this forum; to be a central hub for us to communicate and coordinate our defenses towards common goals.

Beerhah is the entire city of Malton and every survivor in it. It is the guiding spirit of the survivor effort as a whole, not the incongruous sum of its many parts. It is, at last, true survivor unity.

Beerhah is fortune and glory. For everybody, by everybody.

Okay. All bloviating aside...what's this really mean?

Well...a lot of talking has been done about survivor groups operating in a more unified fashion and doing so in one, easily accessible place. Despite the daunting nature of the project that is surely to blame for the dream’s failure to materialize, we’ve decided to hell with it…let’s just do it.

So here we are, taking a leap of faith and hoping others will jump with us. As such, Beerhah is a work in progress and quite likely to be one for some time. But the following is a basic outline of its practical application, as best we can discern at the moment.

But again…this isn’t about one group. This is for all of us, so any suggestions or questions are strongly encouraged.

How it works (kinda).

This is not an umbrella group under which survivor groups are expected to operate as subjugates. This is merely a hub of communication and coordination, the purpose of which is the universal gathering of intel from across the city in an attempt to reach as global a concensus as possible on how best to act on that information…as one giant group. Or two or three less giant groups. Whatever the case may require. The point is to band together and focus on common goals…and keep all info on a given operation in one place (do you read too many damned message boards? I do).

Each group will have its own section, for discussion & general communication on whatever’s going on in their area of operation. We will then decide as a group on how best to focus all of our resources, based on that information. Beyond that, groups are of course free to go about their business as usual…we’re not the boss of you. Beerhah is simply about thinking beyond the burb.

Surely, there will be details to iron out as we progress, but that first requires the fine, upstanding survivor groups of Malton to get involved. For now, however, I think you get the idea.
